In September 2000 determined to obtain my goal of owning a farm, I
purchased this gorgeous brick rambler on 8.5 acres of raw land in
Stafford, Virginia.
I have set my goals high and worked with friends and
family to enhance this "Diamond in the Rough".
For the first few years at our new home we focused on home improvement issues and
the clearing and lawn maintenance of about 2 acres that had been left to run wild. The
many days of hard work proved to be the most important efforts made when I decided it
was time to purchase a new horse for my oldest daughter in 2003.
This new purchase spurred me on to install a large pasture with four board fencing with
a new single stall barn with a feed and tack room installed. This pasture will later be
used an individual turn out/stall for a future boarder.
In 2004 the process of clearing additional acreage for the barn/arena and fields started
and is still in progress.
One by one they are coming down. Its
such a slow process but its progress.
